Moved by the terrible events in Nice on July 14th, the hardcore festival Dominator based in Eersel, Netherlands, held a minute of silence for the victims of the attack and all those affected. A touching gesture that once again shows wrong the prejudices about hardcore fans. Translated by Antonin Pruvot

Behind every hardcore fan there is a kind heart. Over the last few days there have been many tributes to victims of the attack that killed 84 and injured hundreds. Like many artists around Europe the organizers of Dominator a.k.a. The Hardcore Festival decided to have a minute of silence during this year’s edition.

The announcement was made on the Dutch festival’s Facebook page.

After a small moment of confusion and few reluctant “fuck-off” the main stage “Methods of mutilation” went quiet.

In 2014, the festival’s organizers, Art of Dance and Q-Dance, had made a not so successful minute of silence for the victims of the flight MH17. As kind as those gestures were let’s hope they won’t have to hold another one next year.
