Steven Ellison, whom we know better as Flying Lotus, admitted that he lied: the scary short film Royal that he presented at the Sundance Festival was not an independent piece but the premise of a longer project.
I lied .. “Royal” is just one piece of first my feature film called “Kuso” been steady filming low key this year with some talented folks.

The horror movie fan and L.A. rapper assures that the movie is about “pretty much everything I’m afraid of.” He turned to crowd funding and his fans to close the budget of his coming movie.
So far Kuso is about 65% finished. The music is ‘getting there’ as well. A lot to do but the most fun I’ve had since I made @xCaptainMurphyx

The idea behind “Kuso” is a simple one. It’s pretty much everything I’m afraid of.

What would a horror show be without a suiting soundtrack? Fortunately for us, Flying Lotus surrounded himself with talented artists such as Aphex Twin, Thundercat and Akira Yamaoka – the man behind the Silent Hill soundtrack – to provide the movie with a memorable soundtrack.
Really happy to have some new Aphex @Thundercat and @AkiraYamaoka music in the film too

But the biggest news is not there, rather it was when a fan asked whether there would be an album coming out with the film, to which Flying Lotus replied:
That’s the plan https://t.co/4UK2zkCIba
